ABOUT
ED LOZANO

AUTHOR
Ed left us quite a legacy as a guitar player, teacher, mentor and brother. This is Ed’s final labor of love before his early departure on this planet after months of fighting cancer.

He deeply loved sharing his stories from the stage, from years of being a working musician, start guitar player and mentor to all. He is surely missed around here, but we know he would have wanted us to share these lessons with all of you.

He always told us to play smart and play from the heart and we hope you’ll all get to do that as you learn about power chords with Ed!

"I’m amazed that I still enjoy sitting with a piece of sheet music and learning something new after all of these years.”

The right combination of guitar + pedals + amp = sonic glory.  In the 90s, I was OK loading my car with all the necessary gear to achieve tonal goodness. But, I was also a gigging musician in the NYC area where paid parking costs more than the gig pays, and the performing area is […]

And, What I Learned Welcome to this month's Trade Secret. The Marshall Amp Story and My Favorite Marshalls

When I think of Marshall amps, I think of the concerts I frequented in my teens and twenties. The wall of Marshalls was a sign that the band had arrived. Later on, when it was revealed that those backdrops were empty cabinets just for show, it felt like that day that I found out that […]
