Why am I giving advice on Guitar Space?

I’m here at Guitar Space to provide my advice because I have been a passionate guitarist for almost my entire life. I am 27 years old and first learned on a jumbo acoustic from my father when I was around 8 years old. I’ve been honing my craft ever since!

What is my favorite guitar?

I’ve played all manner of guitars throughout my time as a guitarist, but I think it’s pretty difficult to beat a Gibson Les Paul – it’s such a versatile guitar!

What’s the best piece of advice I’d give to a beginning guitarist?

To all you beginning guitarists, I would recommend starting your journey by learning open chords. This may feel boring and you may want to progress straight to barre chords and solos, but trust me – open chords will help your hands and fingers adjust to the instrument.

What song am I learning how to master now?

I’ve been trying to master the guitar rendition of “Flight of the Bumblebee” for just about my whole career as a guitarist. Recently, I’ve been making some serious progress!

What was the first song I learned how to play?

The first song that I learned on the guitar was “Blowing in the Wind” by Bob Dylan.
